πŸƒCasa Daylight - DeFi's all-immersive cross-chain Casino

Casa Daylight is Project Daylight's very own GameFi Play-To-Earn ecosystem that will launch initially as a poker casino, offering the game to players who can buy in with any accepted currency, on any chain - with the initial accepted currencies being the following:

BNB Chain Accepted Currencies

-> $BNB (BEP-20) -> $DAYL (BEP-20) -> $BUSD (BEP-20)

Hold 'Em - Casa Daylight's Poker Format

Casa Daylight follows a Hold 'Em Poker format which has been popularized as a result of commercial TV, and use in PokerStars, as well as other prominent tournaments.

The goal of the game is to make the best five-card 'Hand' possible out of the two private Hole Cards dealt to each player, plus five Community Cards revealed after a few rounds of betting.

Buying In and Deflationary Token Mechanisms on Buy Ins

Players can buy in with the aforementioned currencies at dollar value and receive the equal amount of chips.

Each buy in will enable you to receive chips in the exact dollar valuation of your buy-in at the time of buying into Casa Daylight.

Upon buying in, two particular deflationary mechanisms trigger within the protocol itself - primarily being token burns in order to completely provide token price appreciation and sustain the deflationary aspect of an emission based token such as $CDAYL. They are:

-> An amount of $DAYL is burnt, its value is fractionally proportional to the dollar valuation of the buy in.

Game Flow

Each player is dealt two cards, known as Hole Cards, that only that player sees. Then, five cards are placed face down on the table (the Community Cards).

The first betting round then takes place. Then three Community Cards are turned face up. This is known as the Flop. The other two Community Cards are turned over one by one after the next two betting rounds. These are known as the Turn and River. All players can use these 5 Community Cards to create the best possible five-card hand. That is, you can "take" any three, four, or five of them and use both, one, or none of your two Hole Cards to form the best possible 5-card hand.

To stay in the Hand and see the next card, a player must have put the same amount of Chips in the Pot as every other player during the betting rounds. The Pot is won by the best poker hand.

The Blinds

Every hand, the position of a player at each table is rotated to ensure fairness. The Dealer is an AI-powered dealer who displays the current game's nominal dealer.

As the game begins, the player immediately to the left of the dealer (clockwise) posts the "Small Blind" - the first forced bet. The next player clockwise from the Small Blind posts the "Big Blind," a forced bet twice the size of the Small Blind.

Then, each player is dealt two "Hole" cards, which no one else sees.

The betting action moves clockwise around the table, beginning with the player to the left (clockwise) of the Big Blind. This player position is known as "Under the Gun" (UTG).

Player Betting Options

-> 'Check' = A temporary refusal to bet (only available if nobody has bet yet).

-> 'Fold' = Completely give up the hand, as well as any chips contributed thus far.

-> 'Bet' = Raise the stakes by contributing chips that others must match in order for the hand to remain in play. If no one has bet yet, this option is only available.

'Call' = Agree to put in the same amount of money as the most recent player.

'Raise' = Increase the previous player's bet by at least the amount of any previous raise. "No-Limit" Hold 'Em is the most exciting form of poker because a player can bet with their entire stack of chips at any time. This is known as going "All-In."

Sequence of Events

The Flop

On the board, three community cards are turned face-up (the "Flop"). These are available to all players who are still in the hand.

The active player immediately to the left of the dealer is the first to bet on the flop. He or she may Check (pass the action clockwise to the next active player) or Bet.

If it has been checked around to them, the next player in the round may Check or Bet, or Call or (Re-) Raise if someone has Bet before them.

Betting resumes around the table until all active players (those who have not folded) have placed equal bets in the Pot.

The Turn

Another Community Card (the fourth) is turned over (the "Turn"). Players now have access to six cards to create their best 5-card combination: two private Hole Cards and four Community Cards. Only the top five are considered (so if a player has three pairs, this only counts as two pairs plus a high card). Another round of betting follows, beginning with the active player immediately to the left of the Dealer, as we saw after the Flop.

The River

The fifth and final community card (the "River") is now dealt. Betting then continues in the same manner as it did immediately following the Flop and Turn.

"Removing Players"

If a player is the last remaining player in the Hand at any point, which means that all others have Folded, they are the winner of that Hand and do not have to reveal their Hole Cards.

The Showdown

If there is more than one player left after the final betting round, the last person to Bet or Raise shows their cards (unless there was no Bet on the final round in which case the player immediately clockwise from the Button shows their cards first.)

The Pot is won by the player with the best five-card poker hand.

In the event of identical Hands, the Pot will be divided equally among the players who have the best Hands. Suits are all the same.

When the Pot is won, the Button is passed clockwise to the next player. Blinds are re-posted, and each player receives new Hole Cards.

Payout and Fees

Casa Daylight retains a percentage cut of the winner's cash outs. Winners cashing out, would receive their dollar value winnings in $DAYL at current and equivalent valuation. $DAYL can then be used to stake, yield-farm or even reinvested into the Casino in order to play more and earn more. Payout fees will contribute towards permanently raising the floor price of the protocol.
